Jacob Ballas Children's Garden - Botanic Garden

29.02.2011

Saw this children garden website http://www.sbg.org.sg/bukittimahcore/ChildrenGarden.asp when planning for a trip to Botanic Garden. A garden specially made for children; we definitely have to visit this garden. There are free printable worksheets on this website http://www.nparks.gov.sg/cms/images/stories/worksheets/Jacob%20Ballas/Learning%20Journey%20-%20JBCG%20Worksheet.pdf  The kids can learn and have fun at the same time.

Situated at the Bukit Timah core of Botanic Garden, we have a hard time finding the right car park as we have never set foot in botanic garden before. So max decide to drop us first and find the way to park himself.

You will know that you have reach the garden because of the vibrant colour around the entrance. There is a kidz cafe located on the left side of the entrance and a customer service counter with tables and chairs for children on the right side.

We park ourselves on one of the bench outside the entrance. While waiting for max return, Grandma and mum started munching away with the snacks that they had prepared. Entrance to the garden is free for children. Adult can only enter if there is a child with them. Max and I went in with the kids first.

The garden is planted with plants that children will encounter daily and there are tags for easy referencing too. It is truly a great place for them to learn.

The kids get their 2nd visit right away taking my mum and grandma with them because they are the tickets to the garden itself. hehehehe

Below are pictures that we take. We have a great time at the children garden and will definitely come back again.

A great activite for the kids to cool down after the walk.
